Bangkok Hospital Pattaya
Cosmetic surgery inside a full-service, JCI-accredited hospital on Thailand's Eastern Seaboard
Independently assessed by Bea Siriwat
Last reviewed 12 October 2026 · How we evaluate
Bangkok Hospital Pattaya is not a cosmetic clinic. It is the main referral hospital for Thailand's Eastern Seaboard, a 300-bed BDMS hospital founded in 1990, and its plastic surgery service runs as one part of a Dermatology and Plastic Surgery Center. For a patient who wants cosmetic surgery near a beach base with a full hospital, emergency department and intensive care behind it, that is the point.

Our Assessment of Bangkok Hospital Pattaya
The case for Bangkok Hospital Pattaya is safety cover rather than cosmetic specialism. Your operation happens inside a JCI-accredited general hospital with a 24-hour emergency service and specialist teams on site, so if something goes wrong during or after surgery you are already in the right building. The hospital publishes a broad cosmetic menu, from breast augmentation and facelifts to Vaser liposuction and tummy tucks, and its plastic surgeons trained in Thai university plastic surgery programmes.
The trade-offs are real. Cosmetic surgery is a small part of a large general hospital here, not its focus, so you will not get the volume, package pricing or dedicated cosmetic patient journey of Bangkok's specialist hospitals. Surgical prices are not published and must be requested, and the plastic surgery clinic keeps daytime hours only.
It suits patients who are already planning to stay in Pattaya and want hospital-level backup more than a boutique experience. If you are choosing a city purely for cosmetic surgery, Bangkok offers more choice and more specialist depth.
Who Bangkok Hospital Pattaya Is Best For
In one sentence, Bangkok Hospital Pattaya is the right choice for cosmetic surgery with full hospital backup in Pattaya who accept mid-range tier pricing. The lists below tell you whether that is you.
A strong fit if you
- Patients who want cosmetic surgery inside a full general hospital with emergency cover

Accreditations, Verified
Bangkok Hospital Pattaya holds Joint Commission International accreditation, first awarded in 2009. We verified this through the hospital's own published accreditation records. We have not added accreditations specific to its plastic surgery service, because it publishes none.

Cosmetic Surgery Specialties
The Dermatology and Plastic Surgery Center publishes a broad cosmetic menu covering the face, breasts and body. These are the procedure groups it lists.
What Bangkok Hospital Pattaya Costs
The hospital does not publish prices for cosmetic surgery, so every procedure is quote-only. The only published aesthetic prices are for Pico laser skin treatments, at 2,000 to 8,000 baht for rejuvenation or pigment treatment and 2,000 to 9,000 baht for acne scars. Expect a regional BDMS hospital to cost less than Bangkok's flagship hospitals but more than a specialist cosmetic hospital such as Kamol or Yanhee. Ask for an itemised quote covering surgeon, theatre, anaesthesia, room and medication.

How Bangkok Hospital Pattaya Compares
Few patients pick Pattaya purely for cosmetic surgery. Here is how Bangkok Hospital Pattaya compares with the hospitals people usually weigh it against.
Bangkok Hospital Pattaya vs Bumrungrad International
Bumrungrad has a much larger cosmetic surgery department, more international patient infrastructure and higher prices. Bangkok Hospital Pattaya makes sense if you want to recover by the coast rather than in central Bangkok.

The BDMS sister hospital in Phuket hosts the Phuket Plastic Surgery Institute, a dedicated cosmetic unit with a mainly foreign patient base that also offers gender-affirming surgery. Pattaya's plastic surgery is one part of a dermatology and plastic surgery centre.

Kamol is a specialist cosmetic hospital in Bangkok with lower prices and a strong gender-affirming programme, but without the emergency and general hospital services Bangkok Hospital Pattaya has on site.

Bangkok Hospital Pattaya runs an International Service for overseas patients, reflecting Pattaya's large visitor population. These services are published by the hospital.
Language Support
Interpreters in more than 20 languages, including Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Russian and the Scandinavian languages.
Airport Pickup
With advance notice, a staff member can collect you from the airport and take you to your hotel.
Hotel Bookings & Hotel Calls
The International Service can book hotels, and a 24-hour hotel call service lets a doctor visit you in your room.
Currency Exchange
A Bank of Ayudhya satellite office on site provides currency exchange.
If something goes wrong after you fly home
Because the plastic surgery centre sits inside a general hospital with a 24-hour emergency service, a complication during your stay is handled on site rather than by transfer. After you return home, the hospital publishes no specific remote follow-up service for cosmetic patients, so agree a follow-up plan and a direct contact for your surgeon before you leave, and ask for your operation notes and implant details in writing.
As your coordinator we stay in the loop after you land. If a concern comes up we help you reach your surgeon, get records to a local doctor, and understand what the hospital will and will not cover. We tell you this before you book, not after.
How Booking Works at Bangkok Hospital Pattaya
- Contact the plastic surgery clinic or the International Service with the procedure you are considering and any photos your surgeon asks for, or enquire with us and we arrange it for you
- Ask which surgeon will operate and for an itemised quote, since cosmetic surgery prices are not published
- Arrange airport pickup and a hotel through the International Service if you need them
- Plan to stay in Pattaya for your post-operative checks before flying home
When you enquire through us, our care team handles these steps with the hospital on your behalf and confirms everything back to you before you commit to anything.
About Bangkok Hospital Pattaya
Bangkok Hospital Pattaya was founded in 1990 and is part of Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS), the Bangkok Hospital Group. It is a 300-bed general hospital with more than 100 full-time specialists and acts as the main referral hospital for the Eastern Seaboard.
Cosmetic work sits in the hospital's Dermatology and Plastic Surgery Center in Building D, with dermatology on the first floor and plastic surgery on the second. The plastic surgery side lists breast augmentation, reduction and lift, face and neck lift, brow lift, upper and lower eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty and nostril reshaping, chin and cheekbone augmentation, ear correction, lip augmentation, liposuction including Vaser liposuction, abdominoplasty, scar revision and FUE hair transplantation. The dermatology side adds injectables such as Botox and fillers, laser treatments and skin cancer surgery.
The centre's surgeon directory lists six plastic surgeons alongside its dermatologists. The hospital names no single lead cosmetic surgeon, so ask who will operate on you and check their profile before you book.

How We Evaluated Bangkok Hospital Pattaya
Our hospital profiles are independently researched by our editorial team. No hospital can pay to be listed here, ranked higher or reviewed favourably. Here is what we assessed for Bangkok Hospital Pattaya. Our checks are desk-based, verified against the issuing bodies' registers and the hospital's own published materials rather than a hospital-arranged visit. Read the full methodology.
We confirmed each accreditation directly with the issuing bodies and against published records, rather than relying on marketing claims, so the badges you see are real.
We checked the qualifications of the clinicians who would treat you and the depth of the specialist teams, technology and inpatient support standing behind them.
We assessed whether there is a genuine international patient service (multilingual staff, visa help and structured coordination) rather than just a translated website.
We looked for documented care plans, follow-up scheduling and clear channels, so you can still reach your care team once you have flown home.
We evaluated whether estimates are itemised and given in writing upfront, covering treatment, stay and follow-up, rather than arriving as one opaque figure.
We reviewed patient reports across multiple independent sources, looking for consistent themes in satisfaction, complaints and treatment outcomes.
How we make money
Hospitals cannot pay for placement, ranking or a favourable review anywhere on this site. We earn a coordination fee from the hospital only when you choose to book through us, and it never changes your price. That conflict is why we publish our evaluation criteria and sources on every profile, and link accreditations to the issuing bodies.
If you believe any information on this profile is inaccurate or outdated, please contact our editorial team and we will check it against the source.
